2 iPad accessories that make your tablet even better
Your iPad is the greatest gadget on your coffee table right now, but there are some great accessories that will make it even better.
Here are two gadgets that I personally use that help me get the most out of my iPad:
1) Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker: This gadget actually could fall into a post about 3 iPhone accessories to make your smartphone even better. Wirelessly playing music via bluetooth has never been easier, thanks to Bose’s great speaker product. I use it in my small downtown Denver condo (about 700-square-feet) as our only speaker to play music during dinner, while getting ready in the morning and while blogging. But it’s not just music that this bluetooth speaker excels in. When my wife and I want to watch a movie or TV show on the iPad before falling asleep for the night, we’ll move the speaker (it weighs like 5 pounds) and put it on our dresser, making the perfect speaker to hear what’s going on. Let’s be honest, the iPad speaker is pretty weak and it’s tough to hear. This Bose product comes in at a whopping $300, but you get what you pay for. Easy to use bluetooth technology and the impeccable Bose sound quality that you expect from the world-leader in speakers.
2) TwelveSouth HoverBar: I blog for a few different sites and am a constant news junkie. So when I’m working through the day, see a link for something that I find interesting that would make for a great blog, I send the article to my “Pocket” (check out this awesome ‘read it later’ app) for easy access later. But when I’m blogging on my iMac, my neck can get tired looking at the iPad on my desk then back up at the desktop. The HoverBar by the very innovative TwelveSouth company gives your iMac an awesome iPad extension, holding your iPad parallel with its screen on a flexible arm. While I use it to read news while blogging and writing, the HoverBar make for the perfect extra screen if you use the popular AirDisplay app. This app comes in at $80, which is pricey, but you can use it for more than just an iMac extension. My wife also clips it to a cabinet in the kitchen while reading recipes and cooking.

There is one accessory that I have that really works well. It is the Zaggfolio case and keyboard. I like using it because where the function buttons are, there are controls that work specifically for iPad such as a home button as well as copy and paste buttons. It really comes in handy for me, especially since I’m in college.
